What we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to make us delete it.
Who is responsible
Joshua Hunwick, trading as Dog Bytes Records, is the data controller for this site. Contact: DogBytesRecords@outlook.com, 26 Berkley Drive, Guisborough, TS14 7LU, United Kingdom.
What we collect
If you buy something: your name, delivery address, email address and phone number, and what you ordered. The phone number is collected because couriers ask for one.
If you only browse: nothing. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking on this site.
We never see your card details. Payment happens on Stripe’s own pages. Your card number never reaches this website.
Cookies and storage
We set no tracking or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner to click through.
Your basket is kept in your own browser’s local storage so it survives a refresh. It stays on your device, is never sent to us until you check out, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Why we are allowed to hold it
To perform the contract you entered into when ordering — we cannot print or post a shirt without a name and address.
And to meet a legal obligation: UK tax law requires business records to be kept for six years.
Who else sees it
Stripeprocesses payments and receives your name, email and billing details. See Stripe’s own privacy policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
Printful prints and posts the items, and receives your name, delivery address and phone number. Printful operates outside the UK, so your delivery details are transferred internationally under the safeguards in their data processing terms. See printful.com/policies/privacy.
Vercel hosts this website and processes standard server request logs.
Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for marketing, and we do not send marketing emails.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for six years to satisfy tax law, then deleted. If you ask us to erase your data sooner we will do so, except for what we are legally required to retain.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, and object to our using it. Email DogBytesRecords@outlook.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113. You do not have to speak to us first.
